2 dead in motorcycle accident in northern Connecticut

STAFFORD, Conn. — Two people riding the same motorcycle were killed in a head-on crash in Stafford on Friday afternoon, Connecticut State Police say.

A motorcycle with a driver and passenger was traveling west on Highway 190 when an eastbound Nissan Pathfinder drifted into the westbound lane and struck the motorcycle head-on, police said. State.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as Frederick John Zorick, 63, of Windsor Locks, was pronounced dead at the scene. Lifestar transported the motorcycle passenger, identified as Debra Jean Zorick, 61, also from Windsor Locks, to hospital, where she later died.

The 17-year-old boy driving the Nissan was not injured, according to state police. The driver and witnesses remained at the scene and are cooperating with state police, the troopers said.
