COVID-19 Case Update for Counties in the Lake Tahoe Area | South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif .– El Dorado County reports that 12 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday: 0 in Pollock Pines / Camino / Kyburz, 3 in El Dorado Hills, 0 in Diamond Springs / El Dorado , 0 in North County, 4 in Greater Placerville, 1 in Cameron Park / Shingle Springs / Rescue, 0 in South County, 2 in Lake Tahoe area. Awaiting address confirmation from today’s count: 2. Total awaiting address confirmation: 97.

Of these new cases, 2 are under 18, 8 are between 18 and 49, 2 are between 50 and 64, and 0 are 65 or older. Awaiting confirmation of age according to today’s count: 0. Total date of birth unknown to date: 12.

There were 28 other suspected recoveries with 454 suspected active cases.

There were 832 additional negative results received.

There is currently 1 COVID-19 patient hospitalized and 1 of them is in intensive care. To date, Barton has 0 hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in intensive care and 4 hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Marshall, with 1 in the ICU. There are 0 suspected COVID-positive patients in Barton’s intensive care unit. Also according to the state’s website, Barton has 2 available intensive care beds, Marshall 0.

There were no additional deaths. As of March 2020, there have been 110 COVID-related deaths in El Dorado County.

Lake Tahoe area cases – 166 (+1) are in Tahoe City 547.3 cases / 100,000, 388 (+3) in Kings Beach 972.9 cases / 100,000, 64 (+3) in Olympic Valley 505 , 3 cases / 100,000, 89 (+0) in Truckee 47.9 cases / 100,000, 62 (+1) in Carnelian Bay 373.7 cases / 100,000.

The seven-day test rate is 2.9% positive, and the average daily case rate for the last 7 days is 6.9 per 100,000. The seven-day increase is 0.8 for percent, the 14-day increase is 1.9 percent.
