HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Periods of showers with occasional showers will continue throughout Thursday afternoon and evening.
Meteorologist Mark Dixon said spells of rain would continue into the night.
“While we don’t expect severe weather in CT, a few built-in thunderstorms are possible,” he said.

Most of the rains end at midnight.
Total precipitation is expected to vary from half an inch to an inch, with possibly higher amounts locally.
A cold front crosses the region on Friday and the wind will pick up.
“Tomorrow [Friday], the sun is coming back and the wind is coming back, ”Dixon said.
Northwest winds will blow at times of 30 + mph tomorrow afternoon.
The first weekend in May starts off on a decent note, from a weather point of view.
“As a cold front slides through CT Friday night to early Saturday, a snow shower or two may be possible as well,” Dixon said.
Saturday will be windy and cool with highs in the lower 60s. Sunday will be less windy and milder.
