HARTFORD – A man was taken to hospital on Tuesday following a shooting, police said.

City police turned up to Block 200 Capen Street on Tuesday at around 8:04 p.m. in response to a ShotSpotter activation, Lt. Aaron Boisvert wrote in a statement.

“Upon arrival, a victim was located with a gunshot wound in the Capen Street area of ​​Enfield Street,” Boisvert wrote. “The victim, a man in his fifties, was alert and conscious on the spot. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. It is not known at this point what led to the shooting. “

An investigation is underway. Police are asking people with information about this case to call the whistleblower line, 860-722-TIPS (8477).
