Man shot dead during fight at Laguna Hills 7-Eleven

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. — A man was rushed to hospital early Thursday morning after he was shot outside a 7-Eleven in Laguna Hills, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.

The man, described as Hispanic and in his 30s, is alive but his current condition is unknown, the sheriff’s department said.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to 7-Eleven at 25361 Alicia Parkway around 1:45 a.m. about shots being fired at the store, authorities said.

Authorities discovered two men were arguing outside the store when one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot the other man, the sheriff’s department said. It’s unclear what led to the fight, authorities said.

The suspected shooter, also described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, fled 7-Eleven before deputies arrived, the sheriff’s department said.

“This appears to be an isolated incident, and the investigation is ongoing,” the sheriff’s department said. said on Twitter.
