Orange County Baseball’s Top 25, April 25 – Orange County Register

1. Villa Parc 24-2: The Spartans captured the Boras Classic South Championship with an 11-7 victory over JSerra in the final. Britton Beeson homered and drove in five runs in the victory. Villa Park sits first in the Crestview League.

2. Serra 15-10: The Lions beat Orange Lutheran en route to the Boras Classic South final. They have won nine of their last 10 games and are tied at three for second place in the Trinity League.

3. Lutheran Orange 21-4: The Lancers finished third in the Boras Classic South, including a 21-2 win over Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks in the third-place game. Casey Borba hit a grand slam in the win.

4. Huntington Beach 17-8: The Oilers won the Surf League Championship. They went 3-1 in the Boras Classic South. Ben Jacobs had a great pitching performance in a win over Yucaipa.

5. Cypress 20-4-2: A week after winning the National Classic championship, the Empire League leaders Centurions shared a two-game series with Pacifica.

6. Buttress: Gabe Garcia went no-hitter in 6 1/3 innings and blanked Servite 4-0 in the Boras Classic South consolation championship game. The Knights went 3-1 in the tournament.

7. 14-10 service: The Brothers are part of a three-way tie for second place in the Trinity League. They went 2-2 in the Boras Classic South, and Auggie Gutierrez continued his hot shot.

8. Saint Margaret 18-7: The Eagles have won two of three games against St. John Bosco in a Trinity League series. They are part of the three-way tie for second place heading into the final week of the Championship.

9. Trabuco Hills 20-5: The Sea View League-leading Mustangs swept San Clemente in a three-game championship series that ended with Garrett Strenger hitting a three-run homer late in the seventh in a 6-3 win.

10. Pacifica 17-9: Chad Gurnea pitched a full game with six strikeouts in a 2-1 win over Cypress as the second-placed Mariners split their two-game Empire League series with the Centurions.
