Two men injured in separate shootings in Hartford

HARTFORD, Connecticut – Hartford Police are investigating two shootings that took place overnight.

Police were first called to the Frog Hollow neighborhood around 11 p.m. Friday night for a ShotSpotter activation in the 227 Lawrence Street area.

Officers found a man in his 30s with non-fatal gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Just over an hour later, at around 12:20 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 675 Wethersfield Avenue area, again for a ShotSpotter activation. As police roamed the area, a victim arrived at an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. The victim, another man in his thirties, suffered from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Hartford Police’s Major Crime and Crime Scene Divisions responded and took control of both investigations. Anyone with information regarding these cases is asked to call the HPD Tip Line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
